I meant to show off blacksmithing stuff, but the outdoor pictures kind of distract me sometimes...

Here are my wife Debbie and our friend Karin, with some hairy looking guy and a dog. And a traffic scene on the river.

I mentioned Jake the Russian. He is sort of a hermit/ business partner/ apprentice/ assistant/ role model. We work steel together when we get a chance. Here he is with his wife and daughter, Jenny and Ursula. My wife Debbie is in the middle. You can just see his shop in the background.

This picture is another traffic scene on the trail from Galena to Jake and Jenny's cabin at Devil Creek. The Yukon River is under that snow.

Here's Jake at the local lumber store. I helped a little on that trip. And there's the Yukon again.

Finally, I can't resist some local color shots. Here's an example of Jake's nice scribed log work, a couple pictures of spring breakup on the Yukon, some of the Iditarod Dog sled race going through town, during the day and at night, and driftnet fishing for king salmon by the light of the proverbial midnight sun.

Thanks for looking!
